This live edge farmhouse table was made from book-matched walnut slabs harvested in Lapeer County. The butterfly inlays are decorative and functional preventing further spreading of the natural splits in the wood. The table base of Red Oak is constructed with mortise and tenon joinery and utilizes draw bore pins for additional strength. Note that the table edge was given a 20 degree bevel to help draw attention to the amazing grain patterns.
This maple entertainment center features a staggered front on the center cabinet and ladder style side shelves anchored by "floating" cabinets. The customer requested a completely natural finish which is clear coated with a durable polyurethane that provides protection during daily use.. High-end details are found throughout including extra strong bridal joint doors with soft close hinges and tempered glass.
